Kalakkalo kalakkal. Amazing invite. Must have taken a lot of effort to find the right images for it.

Btw, How did you find them?... Might find it useful when I get to prepare mine :-)

I guess the history of the invitation warrants some writing. My dad had written a small booklet on Vedic Wedding (which I found very useful for my own understanding of things) which was very popular in Coimbatore. I am a bigtime cartoon/comic fan and wanted to incorporate something to that effect in my invitation. Also, I wanted my non-Indian friends to be able to get something from the invite other than the date, time and venue. I used the caricatures done by a professional cartoonist in Coimbatore for my dads book with some small writeup on each step of the wedding and voila!
It was very gratifying seeing the way people embraced the idea and well, all credits to the caricaturist and my dad for the book.

Pity. Thanks for the comments. As I said, the idea was mine. But the actual execution of project was my dad , my printer friend and caricaturist.

And I would also like to get a closer look at the invite. If you dont mind it, could you please email it to me anandvis[at]gmail[dot]com. Thanks.
